KotR Charter
We are a guild whose principles are founded on fellowship and respect. We understand that a guild too structured and rigid can and will affect the fun of the game which we all now enjoy. We endeavor to work together in order to enjoy the full range of the gaming aspects that are available to the players of DAOC. The following is a basic list of some of the points, which the guild asks of its members and we ask you consider well these things before pursuing membership.
Your actions:
1. You are expected to treat all members as you would like to be treated. So respect your guildmates.
2. If you say things on guild chat, alliance chat or other public forums, we expect you to keep it respectful.
3. If someone does something disrespectful to you, bring it to the attention of the guild leadership.
4. All actions are governed by the honor system, Looting, Grouping, Promoting, ETC.
5. Youre expected to have fun!
6. Youre expected to help improve the guild in someway. We dont really care what you pick but do something to improve the guild (PLing, Donating, forming Guild groups, recruiting, so on)
The Guild
The guild ranking and leadership is designed to promote people who enjoy the aspect of the game. As many of our current members know and something most of us enjoy, is the relative freedom from a power based leadership. As the leadership wants to play and have fun, we are considered organizers of events for everyone to participate or not participate in. We do maintain control over the rules stated above and removal of people and we, also have the ability to discipline people, but for the most part we rarely use nor do we enjoy exercising power. Following are the obligations of the guild leadership.
Officer Ranks
· Rank 3 - Knight Left Tenant - (Officer) :
This rank is the introduction to being an Officer You are expected to help form groups, get people together, answer questions, and give directions and any number of things, which help keep things running smooth.
· Rank 2 - Knight Captain - (Officer) :
You are expected to settle disputes, handle guild loot distribution, handle big game raids, guild invites and the duties above.
· Rank 1 - Knight Commander - (Officer) :
Oversees, completes all duties above and has final say in all things if the Guildmaster isnt on.
· Rank 0 Guildmaster :
Oversees and has final say in all things.
Non-Officer Ranks
The remaining ranks in guild are the Non-Officer ranks and are earned based on levels. Any officer can promote you when it is time. Please feel free to ask on guild chat if there is an officer online atm to do this for you. Summary of the ranks are as follows:
· Rank 4 - Knight Master - LvL's 40-50 -
· Rank 5 - Knight Serg. - LvLs 35-40 - alowed to utilize alliance chat
· Rank 6 - Knight - LvLs 20-35 - able to wear the guild emblem and recurit new members
· Rank 7 - Chief Squire - LvLs 10-20
· Rank 8 - Squire - LvLs 1-10
· Rank 9 - Initiate - New Recruit status for first 2 weeks in guild (No donations, or PL'in recommended)
Summation
Basically, we all hold the ideals that we want to play this game for the fun and enjoyment of it. We also understand that with our desires to do our own thing we also remember that there are events which are group oriented which we need to help with so we can form bonds of friendship and to help others enjoy a different aspect of the game. As a guild, we have an obligation to make our membership in the guild a positive impact. Some basic points on what this guild does NOT stress as its primary goal.
Being great in RvR. What I mean is that if youre a great player at Realm vs Realm combat thats a personal aspect which you will find in common with lots of guild members but some are just great people and the guild doesnt expect you to be something you are not.
Being on all the time. Real life has priority. Play when you can! We will be here.
